Ora.tv Names Ogilvy Executive to Head Production, Brand Development
The digital network from Carlos Slim and Larry King has tapped Jamie Schutz as executive vp production and branded entertainment.
Ora.tv, the digital network formed in 2012 by Carlos Slim and Larry King, has appointed director-producer Jamie Schutz executive vp production and branded entertainment.
The former Ogilvy Entertainment executive will be tasked with leading production, brand development and entertainment, working closely with Stick Figure Productions, the unscripted production arm of Ora.tv.
His hire comes after Ora.tv's announced the premieres of Catching Hell with the Weather Channel and Haylie Duff's Real Girl's Kitchen with the Cooking Channel. Schutz's hiring further expands Ora.tv's march into digital and TV production, as well as branded entertainment opportunities.

"Jamie brings with him 20 years of experience producing and directing outstanding TV, and we look forward to him further building out the Ora brand.”
Schutz was previously head of production at Ogilvy Entertainment, the branded entertainment division for Ogilvy and Mather. Schultz's credits include Survivor, Eco-Challenge: Borneo, Nanny 911, Miami Ink and Shalom in the Home. Prior to working in reality TV, Schutz was an assistant director on feature films, commercials and music videos. He won a 1999 Telly Award for outstanding commercial direction, and serves on the board of advisors for the Producers Guild of America East.
