Oscar-Nominated Short Films to Get Limited Theatrical Release

The films will be released in 450 theaters on Jan. 30.

The 2015 Oscar-nominated short films will be released in over 450 theaters in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Latin America on Jan. 30 by ShortsHD, in concert with Magnolia Pictures, ShortsHD CEO Carter Pilcher announced on Monday.

The films will be released as three separate theatrical events, one each for live action, animation and documentary. 

"The appetite for high-quality short movies is at an all-time high, and this year’s films continue to push the boundaries of innovative storytelling," said Pilcher.
