Oscars 2015: The Full Bosom Is Back, Baby
This Oscars, womanly cleavage — and we do mean womanly — was out in full force.
The Oscars' red carpet will always have its fair share of plunging necklines, such as Sunday's starlets Margot Robbie, J-Lo and Chrissy Teigen. This year, the Oscars was all about girl power— from the #askhermore campaign to Patricia Arquette's empowering speech about wage equality, we were all instantly inspired.
And another "we are women, hear us roar" trend on this year's carpet was starlets who flaunted va-va-voom cleavage. We know boobs on the carpet is nothing new. But this cleavage was a bit different that the usual in that it felt rather old-school and about women's feminine curves instead of merely showing off body parts in very revealing dresses.
Oprah Winfrey stunned in a full-cleavage rose-colored Vera Wang Collection gown. Actress Jessica Chastain wore a gorgeous black-and-midnight-blue sequined Givenchy gown, displaying a voluptuous bosom. Melanie Griffith accompanied her daughter, Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson, who wore a one-shoulder red Saint Laurent dress and 100 carats of Forevermark jewelry in a revealing black long-sleeved gown with a very open square neckline.
At the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party, Kat Dennings strutted her stuff (alongside beau Josh Groban) in a Gemy Maalouf gown and Sofia Vergara (arm-in-arm with fiance Joe Manganiello) bared full cleavage in a strapless periwinkle-blue Zuhair Murad gown. Both women are known for (and not afraid to show off) their beautiful top-heavy sultry looks, a common theme at this year’s #girlpower Oscars.
Who runs the world? Girls.
