"Boyhood"

The 87th annual Academy Awards will air Feb. 22 on ABC.

Eight movies are nominated for the Oscar for best picture this year. Among the eight are stories about a concierge at an upscale mountain resort in a fictitious country on the verge of war and a near-homicidal jazz band teacher, as well as biopics on World War II code breaker Alan Turing and civil right leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Richard Linklater's Boyhood won the Golden Globe in the best motion picture, drama category, while Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel beat out Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman for best motion picture, musical or comedy.
