OutKast rapper Big Boi Arrested for Drug Possession
The Grammy-winning OutKast rapper was arrested Sunday for possession of drugs, including ecstasy and Viagra.
Big Boi is in big trouble.
The OutKast rapper, born Antwan Patton, was arrested Sunday afternoon in Miami. Patton was returning from a cruise when he was stopped by US Customs and Border Patrol dogs.
According to the Miami-Dade County Corrections website, Patton was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Sunday and charged with possession of ecstasy pills and MDMA powder (the main ingredient in ecstasy pills), as well as Viagra pills without a prescription. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a $16,000 bond, according to the corrections website.
Big Boi is known as one-half of hip-hop duo OutKast, alongside rapper Andre 3000. The duo has won six Grammys, but Big Boi debuted his first solo album, Sir Lucious Left Foot, last summer.
