Paramount Pictures Germany has extended its existing output deal with German pay-TV group Sky Deutschland for several more years, giving Sky, which is controlled by Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox, VOD and pay per view rights to such Paramount titles as Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit starring Chris Pine and Kevin Costner and Labor Day starring Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin.

The agreement, announced on Thursday ahead of Sky Deutschland's year-end figures report, means several Paramount hit franchises, including the Transformer, Terminator and Paranormal Activity franchises, will stay with Sky in Germany. Sky will feature the films on its mobile services Sky Select and Sky Select Anytime. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Sky is expected to post strong full year numbers Friday as its strategy of slowing increasing subscriber numbers while rolling out offerings across mobile platforms continues apace. The Munich-based operator has around 3.7 million subscribers in Germany, making it the country's largest pay-TV platform.

Last year Fox raised its stake in Sky Deutschland to nearly 55 percent. Fox also owns Sky Italia in Italy and is the largest shareholder in Britain's BSkyB with a 39 percent stake.
