UPDATED: The first lady will make a cameo on the one-hour season-six finale.

Michelle Obama is heading to Pawnee.

The first lady will guest star on the season finale of Parks and Recreation, NBC announced Thursday. The one-hour season-six closer is slated to air Thursday, April 24 at 8 p.m.

Obama's cameo will be in the episode titled "Moving Up," which was filmed in late February in Miami, where she celebrated investments in healthier out-of-school programs as part of her Let's Move initiative dedicated to solving the challenge of childhood obesity. Amy Poehler was a special guest Feb. 25 during an event Obama held in Miami.

The first lady marks the latest politician to appear in Parks and Rec, which have included Vice President Joe Biden, Arizona Senator John McCain, California Senator Barbara Boxer and former Maine Senator Olympia Snowe.

Executive producer Michael Schur still has his eye set on his ultimate get: Hillary Clinton.

"I always imagined the perfect ending to the series -- and I hope it's not for a while -- would be a casual piece of B-roll where Leslie is walking through a building in Washington, D.C., and passes Hillary Clinton, and Hillary Clinton says, 'Leslie.' Leslie says, 'Secretary Clinton,' and keeps walking," Schur told The Hollywood Reporter in early January. "That might still be five seasons away, but that's the trajectory I would like Leslie to enjoy."

On Seth Meyers' first Late Night on Feb. 24, Poehler and Biden reminisced about their time together on the Parks and Rec set. (Biden appeared on the NBC comedy in 2012.) "We need to work together more!" Poehler exclaimed, joking that they would reteam on a project called Snakes on a Train.

Parks and Rec centers on Leslie Knope, a proud civil servant in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Ind. The series stars Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Retta and Jim O'Heir.
