Party Rock: Dev Hynes and Samantha Urbani Play DJs at the COS Opening Party
And we've got their awesome playlist for you right here
The fashionable set, including handbag designer Claire Vivier, were on deck Wednesday night to check out the first brick-and-mortar local of famed European label COS, known for their classic minimalist pieces made with quality fabrics, but priced for the masses.
"We are excited to have seen the positive reaction from our first customers here in Los Angeles," said Marie Honda, managing director of COS. "It's great to have our first retail location in the U.S. and hope that this is now just the beginning for COS across the West Coast and the rest of the country."
Guests walked through the two-story 5,683-square-foot space mingling over champagne and the evening's signature drink, the "Red Pepper Smash" made with gin, basil, red pepper and agave nectar. Lobster tacos, goat cheese and fig flatbread, and mini chicken-potpie fritters were served, while Blood Orange's Dev Hynes and Samantha Urbani played tunes, including Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" and Davie Bowie's "Modern Love" throughout the night.
During the soiree, we heard one partygoer telling friends that her "work uniform" just got a major upgrade. Another guest added that it was nice to finally have a streamlined European option like this in the Beverly Hills neighborhood. (We agree.)
The H&M-owned brand launched in 2007 and currently has 105 stores across 22 countries. The store — which sells pieces for women and men, as well as children's clothing — officially opens it's doors Thursday at 357 North Beverly Drive.
