Lionsgate president of film production Mike Paseornek has re-upped his contract at the indie studio for another four years.

"Mike possesses an un- beatable combination of great taste and great business acumen, and he's launched the careers of some of today's finest and most successful filmmakers," Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said. "He's a huge asset to Lionsgate, and we are delighted he will be at the production helm for another four years."

Paseornek founded the U.S. operation of Lionsgate predecessor Cinepix Film Properties in New York. He joined Lionsgate in 1997 as president of film production when the company purchased CFP.

Under his tenure, Lionsgate has produced dramas like "Monster's Ball" and created long-term producing deals with Tyler Perry, Bernie Mac, Jessica Alba and Dane Cook, among others.
