Patrick Fugit Joins Indie 'Queen of Earth' (Exclusive)
Elisabeth Moss and Katherine Waterston are starring
Patrick Fugit is joining Elisabeth Moss and Katherine Waterston in indie Queen of Earth.
Alex Ross Perry is directing the psychological thriller, which reunites him with his Listen Up Philip star Moss. The story centers on two childhood friends who meet up for a relaxing weekend at a beach house. But they soon become aware of how disconnected from each other they are as adults, allowing their suspicions to bleed into reality.
Fugit will play a local man who is friends with one of the women and comes by to spend time with her. But her friend is not happy about having a male presence on their girls' trip.
Drinking Buddies director-writer-producer Joe Swanberg is producing Queen of Earth with Perry and Adam Piotrowicz. The film is currently shooting in New York.
Fugit, who memorably starred in Almost Famous, will next be seen in David Fincher's hotly anticipated adaptation Gone Girl, which hits theaters on Oct. 3. Other recent projects include Thanks for Sharing and We Bought a Zoo. He’s repped by Gersh and Levin/Brown Management.
