Henry Golding, who nabbed the coveted lead role in upcoming film Crazy Rich Asians, has booked his next gig: starring opposite Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively in Lionsgate's A Simple Favor.
Ghostbusters helmer Paul Feig is directing the film. The story follows mommy blogger Stephanie (Kendrick), who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily's (Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily's husband, Sean (Golding), in this thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge.
The film is slated to begin shooting Aug. 14 in Toronto. Feig and Jessie Henderson are producing through their FeigCo banner. Jessica Sharzer wrote the script based on Darcey Bell's book of the same name.
Golding, who is currently based in Singapore after growing up in London, will next be seen making his feature film debut as the lead in Warner Bros.' Crazy Rich Asians opposite Constance Wu. It was a major get for the actor, who was previously known for hosting TV travel shows. He is repped by Paradigm.
