'Hunger Games,' Jennifer Lawrence Top People's Choice Awards

The Hunger Games dominated the 2013 People's Choice Awards, taking home nods for favorite movie, action movie and favorite movie franchise.

In addition, the movie's Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth won the award for onscreen chemistry during the 39th annual awards show, which took place Wednesday night at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live, with The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco hosting for a second time.

Lawrence, who is currently on the big screen in Silver Linings Playbook, also was voted favorite movie actress and favorite face of heroism.

Robert Downey Jr. also was a multiple winner on the film side, being voted as favorite movie actor and favorite movie superhero for his role as Iron Man.

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston were the winners in the comedy acting categories, while Zac Efron and Emma Watson took home the drama acting nods. Chris Hemsworth was named favorite action movie star.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower, co-starring Watson, was named favorite drama movie, while Ted won in the comedy category.

Meryl Streep was voted favorite movie icon.

In the TV categories, The Big Bang Theory and Grey's Anatomy were named favorite network comedy and drama, respectively. Awkward and Leverage took cable comedy and drama honors, while True Blood won for premium cable.

Glee's Chris Colfer and Lea Michele won for comedy TV actor and actress, respectively, while Castle's Nathan Fillion and Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo topped the drama categories.

The X Factor also was a multiple winner for favorite competition TV show and favorite celebrity judge for Demi Lovato.

The New Normal and Beauty and the Beast were cited as favorite new shows.

Katy Perry topped the music categories, taking home favorite female artist, pop artist and music video for "Part of Me."

One Direction also was a multiple winner, for favorite song ("What Makes You Beautiful") and album (Up All Night). However, the U.K. group was beaten out by fellow Brits The Wanted for favorite breakout artist.
