'The Odd Life of Timothy Green' Director Peter Hedges Hits Hamptons Screening
The film's writer-director is joined by "Live with Kelly!" executive producer Michael Gelman and Chris Bauer of "True Blood," among others, at a private estate in the Hamptons.
“I want to thank Disney for letting me do a film that wasn’t a sequel or didn’t have androids flying through the air," filmmaker Peter Hedges joked during his opening remarks at an intimate The Hollywood Reporter and Peggy Siegal Company-hosted screening of the Disney family pic The Odd Life of Timothy Green.
During the screening at a private East Hampston estate, guests enjoyed cocktail and hors d'oeuvres, while kids indulged in sugar-free Popsicles and perused the latest issue of THR.
The screening drew an assortment of Hamptons movers and shakers including True Blood’s Chris Bauer, theatre director Joe Mantello, Live with Kelly! executive producer Michael Gelman, and fashion heavyweight Rory Tahari.
“What I like about the Hamptons is that everyone comes out to support each other,” said Elie Tahari creative director Rory Tahari. “New York City can feel really big, but here in the Hamptons we all somehow feel like family.”
The comedy-fantasy-drama stars Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton, as a couple whose wish for a child comes true. "Jennifer Garner is one of the kindest most talented people I ever expect to work with. So she comes to work with a smile, it’s a privilege to work with her," said Hedges.
The film arrives in theatres August 15.
