Petter Testmann-Koch to Head up FremantleMedia in Norway
Veteran Norwegian producer Petter Testmann-Koch is set to join indie giant FremantleMedia, taking over the position as managing director of FremantleMedia Norge in Spring 2014, Fremantle announced Thursday.
Testmann-Koch is currently COO and executive producer at local media giant Nordisk Film TV, where he has overseen hit small screen productions including The Voice of Norway, the local language version of the global music competition show; and reality survival program 71 Degrees North, an original Norwegian format that was adapted in multiple territories, including on ITV in the U.K. and Canada's Global TV.
Testmann-Koch will be responsible for the day to day management of the Fremantle's Norwegian operators, focusing on developing content for the local market across all platforms and selling Fremantle formats into the territory. He will report to Daniela Matei, CEO Nordics, Eastern Europe and Balkans and will be part of the senior management team for the entire region.

Testmann-Koch is the latest high-profile Scandinavian appointment for Fremantle, which recently promoted Anne Brostrom, to the position of managing director of its Danish shingle Blu. Fremantle, which is owned by European broadcaster RTL Group, also recently took a majority stake in Danish scripted production company Miso Film, further strengthening its position in the region.
