YouTube Star PewDiePie Teases TV Show
Felix Kjellberg, whose YouTube account PewDiePie has nearly 40 million subscribers, teased the upcoming project in a recent vlog.
YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, is making a TV show, he revealed in a vlog post.
Kjellberg teased the upcoming project by mentioning to his nearly 40 million subscribers that a new venture would be keeping him from uploading more vlogs.
In the video, he notes that he is visiting Los Angeles for work, saying, "I can't really say too much of what I'm doing here. People are worried it's gonna leak into the media too soon. This vlog might ruin it."
He coyly adds, "Tomorrow, I'm going to go to a doctor because of the show — or whatever I'm doing, no one knows what I'm doing. It's not a show. Me doing a show? No!"
In a follow-up vlog, viewers can see snippets of Kjellberg filming various scenes, which include him preparing to get a physical exam at a doctor's office and visiting tourist attractions in Los Angeles. Though information on the show is still under wraps, the video follows the YouTube star as he travels with a camera crew and films the show's intro.
"This was the first day. I had the weirdest day of my life. I can't tell you what happened...you'll see eventually. Let's just say things get really weird in the physical exam thing," he says.
In June, it was announced that PewDiePie also would also be venturing into publishing with the release of his book, This Book Loves You, on Oct. 20.
