The Colorful Makeup at Maison Margiela Was Mesmerizing

The future looks bright and vivid.

The no-makeup makeup look is still trending on the runways, but not for John Galliano's latest Maison Margiela presentation Wednesday during Paris Fashion Week.

Galliano isn't one to send models down the runway in easy-to-recreate makeup looks, and for this season it remained as true as ever. Models walked with glittery, pastel-hued faces that were as futuristic as his Star Trek-meets-athleisure collection. While one catwalker appeared with shimmery cobalt blue lips, another stepped out with pink eye shadow that was topped off by glittery purple liner and pastel blue on the bottom, as well as yellow eyebrows.

Galliano tapped none other than legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath for the colorful masterpieces. McGrath took to Instagram to share up-close views of some of the looks, adding, "SOMETHING IS COMING from Pat McGrath Labs... #patmcgrathlabs005." The beauty guru's limited-edition Lust 004 kits, which released in August, are already sold out.

Until the release of her next product, feast your eyes on the looks from the Maison Margiela spring 2017 runway below.
