The Producers Guild of America will honor Universal Studios president Ron Meyer with its 2007 Milestone Award.

Meyer will be feted at the 18th annual PGA Awards, set for Jan. 20 at the Century Plaza in Century City.

"Ron Meyer has had an incredible impact on the world of entertainment over his 30-plus years in the industry," PGA Awards co-chairs Mark Gordon and Hawk Koch said. "He is a powerful leader with exceptional taste and business knowledge and takes his rightful place amongst those who have received the award in the past."

Past recipients include Clint Eastwood, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Warren Beatty, among others.

The Milestone Award is the PGA's "most prestigious honor and recognizes industry leaders for their historical contribution to the entertainment industry," officials said.

Meyer has been head of Universal Studios for the past 12 years, overseeing the company's worldwide film and theme-park businesses. A onetime talent agent, he was a founding partner of CAA.

"I am honored to accept this award from the Producers Guild of America," Meyer said. "They are a prestigious organization dedicated to supporting the vision, creativity and perseverance of producers making films around the world, and I am proud to play a role."
