Berlin 2012: Pierce Brosnan, Emma Thompson Join 'Love Punch'

The romantic comedy from Brit director/screenwriter Joel Hopkins is being co-produced and distributed by France's SND.

BERLIN -- Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson have joined the new rom-com Love Punch from British director/screenwriter Joel Hopkins (Last Chance Harvey).

France's SND has come on board the project as a co-producer and will be handling world sales, shopping the project to buyers at Berlin's EFM. 

The plot of Love Punch has Thompson and Brosnan as a divorced couple who are forced to reunite after their pension is stolen by an unscrupulous businessman and they join forces to steal it back.

The film is set to begin shooting this summer in the U.K., Paris and the French Riviera.
