PIFF opens 2nd Asian Cinema Fund

SEOUL -- The Pusan International Film Festival has begun accepting applications for this year's Asian Cinema Fund, a program to help independent filmmakers that was started last year.

The ACF provides support of up to 10 million won ($10,250) to develop scripts and documentaries and also offers support for post-production services in Korea.

April 30 is the deadline for documentary and postproduction support submissions, and June 30 is the deadline for scripts in development. The 13th edition of PIFF will take place Oct. 2-10.

Application forms can be downloaded at acf.piff.org. Last year's inaugural ACF supported 27 projects.
