Piper Perabo Finds Off-Broadway Role in 'Lost Girls'
The 'Covert Affairs' star returns with John Pollono's play to MCC Theater, where she last appeared in Neil LaBute's 'Reasons to Be Pretty.'
Piper Perabo is headed back to the New York stage, leading the cast of John Pollono's Lost Girls as a mother forced to confront her missteps when her 17-year-old daughter goes missing during a winter storm.
Perabo will star opposite Ebon Moss-Bachrach, a regular on HBO's Girls, in the drama about a blue-collar family struggling to avoid repeating its past mistakes. Directed by Jo Bonney, the play will also feature Meghann Fahy, Tasha Lawrence, Lizzy DeClement and Josh Green.
The MCC Theater production begins previews Oct. 21 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, with the official opening set for Nov. 9. The limited engagement is scheduled to play through Nov. 29.
Perabo returns to MCC after appearing in 2008 in the off-Broadway company's world premiere of Neil LaBute's Reasons to Be Pretty, which later went to Broadway and was nominated for three Tony Awards. The actress recently completed five seasons on the USA Network drama Covert Affairs.
Bonney and Pollono are also returning MCC alums, having previously collaborated on the playwright's Small Engine Repairs.
