Johnny Depp Is Fit to Be Tied in First 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Image (Photo)
Things aren't going swimmingly for Jack Sparrow in the film's first photo.
The bondage trend appears to be spreading through Hollywood faster than expected.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted the first image from the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales on Tuesday, which shows franchise star Johnny Depp covered in ropes while wearing his signature Jack Sparrow attire.
"Captain Jack is back, and we're not letting him go," Bruckheimer captioned the pic.
The fifth Pirates film has experienced a bumpy go thus far. Shooting in Australia was temporarily put on hold in March after Depp injured his hand in an off-set accident and flew to the U.S. for surgery.
Co-directors Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg's film also stars Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Javier Bardem, Kaya Scodelario and Brenton Thwaites. It is set to splash into theaters on July 7, 2017.
The last installment was director Rob Marshall's 2011 entry Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which made off with $1.04 billion worldwide.
