'Pitch Perfect 2': Elizabeth Banks Talks 'Shouldering' Responsibility of Sequel, Bellas' New Rival (Video)
NBC's Today gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at Pitch Perfect 2.
On Monday's edition of the morning show, news anchor Natalie Morales aired parts of her visit to the set of the highly anticipated Universal movie, set to hit theaters next May.
Elizabeth Banks, who's directing the sequel in addition to producing the film and reprising her role as an a capella judge, talked about helming the follow-up to a fan favorite.

"Especially because people love the first movie so much, I definitely feel a lot of responsibility to the fans, to my fellow actors, and I mean, shouldering it every day," the actress said.
Banks, who makes her directorial debut with the sequel after producing the first film, also offered some details on the film's plot.
"The Bellas have a new main rival this time around, and I will not say who they are. They've gotten too big for their britches, possibly literally. And they've sort of forgotten about the music a little bit," she explained.

Meanwhile, Today aired shots of castmembers being filmed getting on and off buses and revealed that they spent four weeks rehearsing together at Bellas boot camp.
But while castmembers Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Hailee Steinfeld did debut some of the hair and costumes from the sequel, Wilson didn't seem like she was telling the truth about the plot.

"We are actually doing all of our own stunts in the movie," she said. "There are a few that I can't go into because they will spoil it, but that bit when [Kendrick is] dangling from the helicopter, that bit when [Steinfeld is] with the shark — that really is her."
The trio did teach Morales a secret Bellas handshake and gave her her own Bellas jacket.
