“It’s a comedy first,” Moore said of the film. “Singing is awesome and music is fun and everyone gets their moment, but it was originally conceived as a comedy and I think that these actors are able to deliver that in the midst of the music, so people will laugh.”
Snow, who plays a senior member of the singing group, told THR she's been singing,d ancing and acting since she was young.
"It was really great to be a part of something where you get to do all three that you love to do," she told THR.
She described her character, a ditzy college student with a powerful voice, as the "optimistic, very passionate one that doesn’t really have any boundaries, doesn’t really see any social cues.”
Elizabeth Banks, who produced and also stars in the film, was also in attendance at the premiere.
“The best experience [of this film] was giving all these young, amazing performers an acting job,” she said.
Pitch Perfect is set to release in select theaters on Friday, Sept. 28 and nationwide on Oct. 5.
