Plane Evacuated at LAX Due to Bomb Threat
The flight arrived Tuesday afternoon from Taiwan.
An EVA Air flight was evacuated Tuesday after landing at Los Angeles International airport following a bomb threat made against it, KTLA reports.
EVA Air Flight 12 arrived safely at LAX from Taiwan at 3:34 p.m. PT and was taken to a secure location as FBI officials and airport police searched it, according to the Los Angeles Times.
A FBI spokesperson told the Times that the threat came from a telephone call.
KTLA reports that the situation followed 10 similar threats made against U.S. flights Monday, which was Memorial Day. All of the threats were found to be false alarms.
An FBI spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
