'I Never Want to Do 'Transformers'': James Deen Leads a New Wave of Porn Stars Who Aren't Counting on Crossover Success (Video)
"I never want to do these blockbuster movies that are just god awful and crap. I just don't want to be in these horrible, horrible movies," porn's It boy says.
The top stars of the porn world want you to know they're not waiting for Hollywood to come calling.
The Hollywood Reporter got an exclusive look inside the billion-dollar business, where top-name adult film performers like Asa Akira and James Deen told us that succeeding in the porn world is a personal dream come true.

"I get really offended when people are like, 'Why are you doing porn. You don't have to be doing porn!'" the 27-year-old Akira, porn's current It girl, explains. "Because obviously I got into porn because I want to be doing everything that's in porn."
Deen, a 26-year-old from Pasadena known for his unthreatening, boy-next-door good looks, is similarly content with his place in the business -- even if mainstream opportunites have come calling.
"I remember when I was in third grade, they went around the class asking what everyone wanted to be when they grew up," Deen recalls. "'Fireman!' 'Astronaut!' 'Porn star!' 'What?!' 'Porn star!'"
"My whole life it's always been what I've wanted to do," Deen, who also stars opposite Lindsay Lohan in the upcoming indie feature The Canyons, says.

Other stars of the porn world are open to going out for mainstream auditions, but -- just like all the other actors in Hollywood -- stay realistic about their chances.
"I love auditioning for mainstream stuff," says Tasha Reign, a beautiful blonde adult film star. "But it's not my big focus. I don't think it's my number one agenda."
Reign also draws the line at reality TV: "I don't want to do reality television if I do mainstream stuff," she says.
Deen also says he's very picky about non-porn projects, and would even consider turning down a part in a major Hollywood blockbuster.

"The thing about me is that I don't like to do bad stuff," Deen says. "So I never want to do Transformers. I never want to do these blockbuster movies that are just god awful and crap. I just don't want to be in these horrible, horrible movies."
