Power Shopping: Zooey Deschanel Talks Fashion Favorites
The star of 'Our Idiot Brother' and new Fox TV show, 'New Girl', reveals some fashion tips.
Although actress/singer Zooey Deschanel has had a busy year, she always has time to look her best at countless events and red carpet premieres. The star of Our Idiot Brother (as Rudd’s bohemian younger sister) and upcoming Fox show New Girl (as a heartbroken, awkward geek, who moves in with three guys after being dumped) loves to switch up her look. Whether sophisticated at the premiere of the Weinstein Co.’s film Aug. 16 (in an attention-grabbing black-and-white ruffled Moschino dress and YSL heels), flirty at the Fox All Star party Aug. 5 (in a white, one-shoulder number with black embellishments and a full-skirt) or feminine (in a pink and green floral Kate Spade shift- dress) at the Winnie the Pooh premiere July 10—she wrote and performed for the film’s soundtrack—Deschanel doesn’t miss a beat. The blue-eyed brunet shared some of her style tips with THR.

"You know um the cool thing about living in Southern California is that you could kind of wear anything any time of the year so I don’t really think in seasons as much, but I usually look for things that I like that will look good on my body.”
FAVORITE CITY TO SHOP:
“You know I actually have been all over in the world shopping and it’s interesting to see that there are a lot of, you’ll find a lot of treasures in like little places that you’ll stop. I was on tour all last year and Salt Lake City has amazing vintage shopping, for instance.”

“A suitcase.”
FAVORITE HIGH FASHION ITEM:
“Um… fashion, I don’t know I buy a lot of clothes so I can’t think, but I like to buy cheapy clothes.”
