President Obama Discusses Friendship With Jay-Z, Beyonce and Blue Ivy
The Commander in Chief discussed his relationship with music's royal family -- including his favorite Hova songs -- in an interview on Friday.
Creating jobs, shrinking the deficit, cleaning the environment, rooting out terror: all important topics, and definitely all the basis of questions an interviewer should ask the president.
But, then again, not until said privileged member of the media gets the Jay-Z and Beyonce questions out of the way, of course.

President Obama appeared on Cleveland radio station Z107.9 on Friday to reach out to savvy hip hop listeners and crucial voters in the swing state of Ohio, seeking to impress them with both his high-powered pals and plans for a stronger America.
"I’ve gotten to know these guys over the first several years," Obama told host Colby Colb. "They’re good people. Beyonce could not be sweeter to Michelle and the girls. So they’re good friends. We talk about the same things I talk about with all my friends."
Whether that means how to revive a struggling manufacturing economy and ward off political attacks, or Malia and Sasha's homework, is unclear. Presumably, they do spend time planning on big money fundraisers together (or just let their people handle that). Nonetheless, one thing Obama does do is give his new-father buddy some advice.
"I made sure that Jay-Z was helping Beyonce out [with the baby], and not leaving it all with Beyonce and the mother-in-law," he explained.
As for which Jay-Z songs Obama has on his iPod, he admits not giving much spin to the seminal hit "99 Problems," though he does have some earlier-era Hova stuff.
“You know, I gotta say I go with some other stuff like ‘My First Song,’ which just kinda keeps me steady,” he told the host. “It’s a great song. It reminds you that you always have to stay hungry.”
