President Obama Submits to 'Ask Me Anything' on Reddit
The commander in chief is taking live questions directly from Internet users, typing his responses himself.
Reddit, the popular online message board, has scored quite the subject for its popular "Ask Me Anything" interview feature: The President of the United States.
The topic page, "I am Barack Obama, President of the United States -- AMA," was posted on Wednesday morning, and was quickly verified by Obama on Twitter.
The format is a question-and-answer free-for-all, where users lob random queries at a famous or notable person. Past AMA subjects have included Dan Harmon, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.
Usually, they are a fun and informative way of interacting with interesting people -- though sometimes, things can go awry. Case in point, the AMA with Woody Harrelson.
Surely, the AMA with President Obama will go a little more smoothly.
Users have already begun swarming the page with their questions, such as, "What was the most difficult decision that you had to make during this term?" and, on a more conspiratorial note, "What is in Area 51?"
The president is currently answering those questions, typing his own responses on an Apple laptop.
