Priestley on Lifetime's 'Side'

Jason Priestley, Christopher Gartin and Diana-Maria Riva have been cast in the Lifetime drama pilot "Side Order of Life."

"Side," from writer Margaret Nagle and executive producers Bruce Cohen and Dan Jinks, centers on Jenny (Marisa Coughlan), a magazine photographer who re-evaluates her life and upcoming wedding after her best friend is diagnosed with cancer.

Priestley will portray Jenny's fiance, Ian, who is described as someone who worries about what others think of him. When Jenny suggests a postponement of the wedding, his first thought is how to get the deposit back.

Gartin plays Rick, the magazine's West Coast bureau chief who gives Jenny the chance at covering an important feature at the magazine through her photography.

Riva will portray Collette, the magazine's deputy of operations and Jenny's friend, confidant and her voice of reason.

Nagle also serves as a co-executive producer on the project, which originally was developed by Warner Bros. TV and will be produced by the company's cable/ reality programming arm Warner Horizon.

Priestley stars in an upcoming episode of Showtime's "Masters of Horror" and recently co-starred on CBS' "Love Monkey" and Fox's "Tru Calling." He is repped by UTA.

Gartin has appeared on CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," NBC's "Will & Grace" and Fox's "House." He is repped by Abrams Artists.

Riva has a role on NBC's "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and also appeared on the network's "The West Wing." She is repped by the Kohner Agency.
