Primary Wave Merges Talent Management Division With Intellectual Artists Management
The combined roster now includes CeeLo Green, Melissa Etheridge, Cypress Hill and Eric Benet, among others.
Independent music marketing, talent management and music publishing company Primary Wave has merged its talent management division with full-service talent and literary management, media and content production company Intellectual Artists Management, it was announced Monday.
The union creates a full service entertainment management company with talent spanning creative industries, from music to film to television and literary, and will operate under the new name Primary Wave Entertainment. The combined management roster will now include Grammy Award winners and nominees CeeLo Green, Melissa Etheridge, Cypress Hill, Eric Benet, along with Golden Globe-winner Gina Rodriguez, Oscar-winner Bobby Moresco, William Fichtner, Mayim Bialik, Peter Facinelli, Gabrielle Union, AJ Cook, Natalie Imbruglia, Oni Press and more.
The news follows Primary Wave's recent acquisition of film/TV talent management and production company Evolution Entertainment Partners, which is responsible for producing over 40 films including Can't Buy Me Love, The Sandlot, John Q and the SAW franchise, and executive producing the TV series Two And A Half Men.
Primary Wave Entertainment will be run by co-CEOs Larry Mestel, CEO/found of Primary Wave Music, and David Guillod, CEO/founder of Intellectual. Evolution CEO/founder Mark Burg will serve as Vice Chairman. The companies' staffs will combined with offices in New York and Los Angeles.
