Princess Beatrice's Royal Wedding Hat Defended by Designer
Philip Treacy says she looked "gorgeous and beautiful. But no one is crying if anyone didn't."
Philip Treacy isn’t too upset about the outcry over the wacky hat he designed for Princess Beatrice to wear to the royal wedding.

When asked if Beatrice or her sister Eugenie (who also donned a bizarre style by Treacy) weighed in on the design, he said, "No, they didn't tell me [what they wanted] because I've known them for a long time and I wanted them to look gorgeous and beautiful." A Facebook fan page called Princess Beatrice's Ridiculous Royal Wedding Hat has more than 132,000 fans who have filled its wall with comments like "It's a toilet seat" and "Looks like a space ship has landed."
