Philip Treacy isn’t too upset about the outcry over the wacky hat he designed for Princess Beatrice to wear to the royal wedding.

When asked if Beatrice or her sister Eugenie (who also donned a bizarre style by Treacy) weighed in on the design, he said, "No, they didn't tell me [what they wanted] because I've known them for a long time and I wanted them to look gorgeous and beautiful."
