MUMBAI -- Top Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra will take her first steps as an international music artist with the debut of her single “In My City” on NFL Network's Thursday Night Football.
The single features will.i.am and is produced by RedOne (whose credits include Lady Gaga) and Brian Kennedy. Chopra is signed to Interscope Records, DesiHits! and 2101 Records and is managed by Lady Gaga's manager Troy Carter, CEO of Atom Factory.
Recently, she also became the first Bollywood star to be signed by CAA.
Chopra will be the featured artist for Thursday Night Kickoff which begins Sept. 13 with the 185th meeting between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers, the most-played rivalry in NFL history. In addition, Chopra always has had a musical inclination; as she told The Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview, “I love music; I grew up with it thanks to my father, who loves to sing. We woke up every morning to music. I knew how to sing before I knew how to read.”

During the past year, Chopra has made frequent trips to the U.S. to record her debut album, which is expected to feature collaborations with international artists and producers including Swedish House Mafia.

Said NFL Network executive producer Eric Weinberger: “We’re excited to showcase Priyanka’s talent and worldwide appeal to millions of NFL fans across the United States. 'In My City' will set the perfect tone for Thursday Night Kickoff, which leads into each of the 13 primetime Thursday Night Football games on NFL Network.”
