Producers Guild, Association of Film Commissioners Partner for 2011 Produced By Confab
The Producers Guild of America is joining forces with the Assn. of Film Commissioners International for the next edition of the PGA’s annual Produced By Conference.
The 2011 conference will run concurrently with the AFCI’s Locations Trade Show from June 3-5.
This year, the conference attracted more than 1,100 participants, and the annual AFCI Locations Trade Show is the largest worldwide gathering of film commissions.
“The Produced By Conference is an important initiative for the Guild as it brings together our amazing producer community for two days of learning and networking. By partnering with AFCI we hope that PBC will be an even more invaluable experience,” PGA president emeritus and PBC event co-chair Marshall Herskovitz. “We’re excited to build upon last year’s wildly successful program, and we believe our collaboration with AFCI will enhance learning opportunities and provide the increasingly important global perspective,” added PBC event co-chair Gale Anne Hurd. (Rachel Klein will also serve as co-chair of next year’s PBC event.)
“The ability for producers and the industry to network with commissioners that are providing over $2.5 billion in annual funding around the world is a perfect synergy for the entertainment community,” AFCI CEO Lawrence Brownell said.
