How Pudsey The Dancing Dog Is Keeping Fit And Staying Grounded (Video)
The handler for the winner of "Britain's Got Talent" brought her charge to THR's office Thursday and chatted about the canine's routine and his time in L.A.
There’s a new reality star in town, and he’s working to make it big, one adorable trick at a time.
Pudsey the dancing dog and his owner, Ashleigh Butler, stopped by The Hollywood Reporter to showcase their best moves and reveal the secrets to their success.
“He is a showoff at the end of the day,” Butler, 17, says of her canine dance partner. “So the bigger the crowd, the more he does perform.”

The British pair is hot off a win on Britain’s Got Talent, where they wowed viewers with their dance routines, and received high praise from judge Simon Cowell, who has flown them to LA to test the waters for career opportunities for Pudsey.
“I think Pudsey would be perfect for film work,” says Butler. “He loves the camera. I think personally he’s got the looks as well.”
Press accounts have dubbed Pudsey “the million dollar dog” thanks to his new earning potential, but Butler insists fame and fortune hasn’t gone to the canine’s head.
“We try to keep his lifestyle as normal as possible, just because I don’t want him to get big headed,” she says. “He does have a little doggy treadmill to keep him fit. Other than that, he eats, sleeps and performs.

Butler, who owns and trains other dogs as well, says people have asked if retirement is in Pudsey’s near future.
“He’s only six, bless him. I think if I did retire him right now, he’d hate me," Butler says. "He’s one of those dogs that has to keep working, keep doing something. Otherwise he just gets bored.”
