SEOUL -- The Pusan International Film Festival and the Mumbai Film Festival signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate more closely and build a solid network among Asian film communities.
At the Berlin Film Festival, Lee Yong-kwan, Pusan’s festival director and Srinivasan Narayanan, the festival director of Mumbai, signed an agreement to strengthen artistic, financial and educational exchanges between the two festivals.
Last year, Pusan signed a MOU with the Vietnam International Film Festival. The Mumbai Film Festival, which includes an international competition, is sponsored by Reliance Big Entertainment, the biggest film production/distribution company in India. The festival invites about 200 films each year.
