Pyle packs up for new pilot at ABC
EmptyMissi Pyle has been tapped to star in ABC's comedy pilot "Traveling in Packs."
Meanwhile, Dondre Whitfield and Christine Woods have joined CBS' comedy pilot "Atlanta," and Jerrika Hinton has joined the CW comedy pilot "Eight Days a Week."
"Packs," from Warner Bros. Television, revolves around three women in their 30s (Virginia Williams, Shawnee Smith, Pyle) who find out that living together has benefits and is a lot more fun than living alone.
Pyle most recently co-starred on "The Wedding Bells," David E. Kelley's series for Fox. Earlier this season, she did two-episode arcs on ABC's "Boston Legal" and NBC's "Heroes." On the feature side, she recently wrapped "Harold & Kumar 2" and next appears in "Feast of Love," "Spring Breakdown" and "Patriotville."
She is repped by UTA, McKeon-Myones and attorney Neil Meyer.
"Atlanta," from CBS Paramount Network TV, revolves around a man (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and woman (Leslie Bibb) who meet at a funeral and can't seem to stay away from each other. Whitfield will play Prinze's best friend, while Woods will play Bibb's best friend.
Whitfield, who co-starred on ABC's "Jake in Progress," is managed by Craig Dorfman and Ryan Dibble.
"Eight," from CBS Paramount Network TV and Hazy Mills, revolves around four twentysomethings who work under the top movers and shakers in New York. Hinton will play one of the bosses, an owner of an art gallery.
