Olympia Dukakis, Virginia Madsen, Aidan Quinn and Zosia Mamet are set to star in BCDF Pictures' "The Art of Love," which begins filming this week in Woodstock, N.Y.
Directed by Maggie Greenwald ("Songcatcher"), written by Peter Hutchings and Christina Mengert and based on a story by Claude Dal Farra, "Love" is described as a fantasy teenage romance.
Dukakis and Madsen will play the last survivors of an ancient line of goddess worshippers, who sell art at a shop run by Madsen's husband (Quinn). When their teenage daughter Rhea (Mamet) falls in love with a poetically inclined boy (Sam Underwood), she begins to develop magical powers of her own.
Nat Wolff and Jee Young Han also have been cast.
Dal Farra, Carly Hugo, Matt Parker, Brice Dal Farra and Lauren Munsch are producing; Hutchings and Jonathan Burkhart are executive producing.
