Rachel Crow Set to Perform at White House Easter Egg Roll
Eggs have been rolling around the White House around Easter since 1878 -- and for the 134th roll, First Lady Michelle Obama's children's fitness initiative takes over the event with “Let’s Go, Let’s Play, Let’s Move.”
Helping provide the soundtrack for that movement is 14-year-old X Factor competitor and Fred: The Show actress Rachel Crow, who will sing for an expected 35,000 at the Monday, April 9 event on the White House's South Lawn.
Always a kid-friendly event, Crow joins a list of past performers that includes Justin Bieber in 2010 and The Jonas Brothers in 2008.
“Life is, not an understatement, it's amazing!" the young singer recently told The Hollywood Reporter, at her first time on the Kid’s Choice Award’s Orange Carpet.
Michelle Obama also made her first appearance at the Kid’s Choice Awards this year, inviting British boy-band and The X Factor UK finalists One Direction to join the list of performers on Monday. (They declined due to a previous commitment to perform in Australia.)
Special guests who will make it to the event include a long line of health-minded celebrities, such as Richard Blais, Carla Hall, Bryan Voltagio and Paul Qui from Top Chef and The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper.
Other famous guests to take part during story reading portion of the program include Julianne Moore, Forest Whitaker and Bella Throne, Robin Roberts.
