Randy Falco Joins Univision Communications as COO, Executive VP
The former AOL boss and NBC top executive will focus on revenue-generating functions at the Spanish-language media firm.
NEW YORK - Univision Communications has hired former AOL chairman and CEO and NBC top executive Randy Falco as executive vp and COO, effective immediately.
The Spanish-language media giant said Falco will oversee all revenue-driving functions, including advertising sales, distribution sales and affiliate relations, as well as the company’s TV and radio station groups, corporate marketing, research and business development.
Falco, also a former president and COO of NBC Universal Television Group, will be based in New York and report to president and CEO Joe Uva.

Falco said he has long kept an eye on the growing Hispanic media market. "The 2010 Census will clearly shed additional light on the coming of age story for both the company and Hispanic population," he said. Falco joins an executive leadership team that includes Cesar Conde, president of Univision Networks, Kevin Conroy, president of Univision Interactive Media, CFO Andrew Hobson and general counsel C. Douglas Kranwinkle who will all continue to report directly to Uva.
