The 'SportsCenter' star got choked up before asking: "What exactly does the NFL stand for?"

Several figures in the media have weighed in on the NFL's botched handling of the Ray Rice domestic abuse incident, and now ESPN anchor Hannah Storm is offering her pointed takedown of the league.

At the end of Sunday's SportsCenter broadcast, Storm told viewers that she struggled last week with her daughter's questions about why Rice hit now-wife Janay Palmer and why the league didn't initially punish him more severely.

Storm got choked up when recounting having to explain the situation to her daughter, and then she called out the league for not actually taking a zero-tolerance stance against domestic abuse.

"What exactly does the NFL stand for?" Storm asked, pointing out that women make up 45% of the league's viewers and, by extension, its source of potential profit.
