'Raymond' Creator Phil Rosenthal Signs With UTA
He joins the Hollywood agency after shooting six episodes of 'I'll Have What Phil's Having' for PBS.
Everybody Loves Raymond creator Phil Rosenthal has signed with UTA.
Rosenthal will be represented at the Hollywood agency by Jay Sures and Gregory McKnight after previously being repped by CAA. The signing comes as Rosenthal hosts I'll Have What Phil's Having, a food travel series to debut in the fall on PBS.
Six one-hours of the Anthony Bourdain-esque world culinary travelogue have been shot. I'll Have What Phil's Having sees Rosenthal paired with a chef companion while meeting culinary and style trendsetters in Los Angeles, Hong Kong, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.
The Raymond creator's journey into reality TV follows Rosenthal investing in restaurants and calling his indie shingle Where's Lunch Production. The PBS project follows the TV producer starring in Exporting Raymond, a documentary about his attempt to repeat Everybody Loves Raymond in Russia.
Everybody Loves Raymond had a successful nine-year sitcom run on CBS.
He continues to be repped by manager Howard Klein and lawyer Patti Felker.
