RDF USA rebrands in wake of merger

Reality producer renamed Zodiak USA

RDF USA said Tuesday that the production company has been rebranded Zodiak USA.

With operations in Los Angeles and New York, the group -- acquired by Zodiak in June -- will continue to create original reality programming for broadcast and cable networks.

"We already have a well-established and growing portfolio of programs in the U.S.," Zodiak USA CEO Grant Mansfield said. "The new Zodiak USA will continue to focus on creating original unscripted shows, but it will also take a bigger step into the scripted space. Additionally, we now have almost 40 production companies to access hundreds of formats, both scripted and unscripted, from around the world."

In addition to Mansfield and COO Natalka Znak, all RDF USA senior management will transition under the Zodiak USA brand. The pair, which joined the U.S. operation earlier this year, has overseen production of ABC's "Secret Millionaire," truTV's "Hardcore Pawn" and 20th Century Fox Television and VH1's "Don't Forget the Lyrics."

The renaming is part of a larger reorganization following the merger. Next month, the enlarged entity, with annual sales exceeding $700 million, will relaunch as Zodiak Media Group under CEO David Frank.
