'Real Housewives' Alex McCord and Jill Zarin: We Have Not Been Fired (Exclusive)
The housewives tell THR they’re currently in limbo with Bravo.
In what sounds like a bloodbath over at Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York, a report went out on Thursday stating that the network had fired Alex McCord, Jill Zarin, and Kelly Killoren Bensimon. The Hollywood Reporter has exclusive statements from both McCord and Zarin to the contrary.

“At this stage, I have not been fired,” McCord tells THR in response to The Huffington Post report. “My casting is still in limbo and I expect to hear within the next week.”
Zarin’s rep, Darren Bettencourt, tells us that “Jill is still in discussions with Bravo for Season 5 and no final decisions have been made.”
Sources close to the situation tell us that the women, which a source tells us includes Cindy Barshop who wasn’t named by The Huffington Post, did receive a call from Bravo this morning to warn them that the news of their undefined status on the show was breaking today – not to inform them that they had been fired. We’re told there has been no change in their casting status on the show other than the fact that it went public.

McCord and Zarin's rep declined to comment or confirm statements made to THR by other sources close to the situation saying that Bravo slashed the cast’s salaries by half. We’re told that the three women singled out in the report represent the cast members who didn’t accept Bravo’s lowball salary offer for next season and are still in negotiations.
Bravo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
