'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards Buys $3 Million Bel-Air Home
She and husband Mauricio Umansky are in the process of selling their current home, featured on the hit Bravo series.
High-end real estate agent Mauricio Umansky and wife Kyle Richards, star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, have purchased a Bel-Air home for a little more than $3 million.
The deal for the couple’s new 6,500-square foot residence closed Thursday.
Umansky says he and his wife plan an extensive cosmetic remodel of their new residence, which they purchased from an unnamed seller.
Faye Resnick, a designer who worked on the couple’s current home and has appeared on Housewives, will handle the interior design.
The remodel is expected to begin shortly and should be wrapped up in about three months.
"We are going to convert it into kind of a Ralph Lauren comfortable, casual and traditional home," said Umansky, an agent with residential brokerage Hilton & Hyland. "It'll have a bit of an East Coast charm."
Features of the seven-bedroom home include a pool, sports court, theater and billiards room.
Umansky represented himself in the purchase of his family’s new home; Joyce Essex of Coldwell Banker represented the seller.
Umansky and Richards, who have three daughters and also raise Richards’ daughter from a previous marriage, have sold their 4,200-square foot Bel-Air home -- currently featured on Housewives.
The deal is expected to close later this month.
Umansky declined to discuss the sale price; the four-bedroom residence was listed at $2.395 million.
They are selling it to a unnamed local businessman who works in the fashion business.
Kyle Richards is the sister of Kathy Hilton and counts Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton as nieces.
