'Real Housewives of New York's' Jill Zarin Says Official Goodbye, Teases New Show
The former housewife issues a statement after Bravo announced she wouldn't be returning for Season 5.
Jill Zarin, who was apparently on vacation when Bravo officially announced on Saturday that she won’t be returning, has issued her official statement on her departure -- which includes a tease for a new show.
“I’ve had four amazing years on The Real Housewives of New York City,” she writes on her personal website. “I’m grateful for the experiences and friendships I’ve made on the show. I’ve certainly learned a lot about myself and others. The show has decided to take a different direction and unfortunately I will not be a part of Season Five.”
The former housewife, who had been with the series since its first season, goes on to thank her fans “from Australia to Alaska” for their supportive tweets, emails, and Facebook messages.
Before she ends the message, she does throw her fans a tease, saying “For all the people who have supported me and wished me well, you can see me on a new show that will be announced soon.”
THR was the first to report on Saturday that Zarin’s cast mate, Cindy Barshop, had been officially let go from the series. Soon after, Bravo released an official statement that Zarin, Alex McCord, and Kelly Bensimon wouldn’t be returning, as well.

Zarin works with her family business, Zarin Fabrics, has a line of shapewear and leggings called Skweez Couture, and she’s developing a home collection.
Sources close to the production told THR that remaining cast members Sonja Morgan, LuAnn DeLesseps, and Ramona Singer received offers to return for next season last week while the other women did not. Additionally, we're told there are three new housewives who are waiting in the wings to possibly fill the open spots on the cast.
