Rebecca Minkoff's L.A. Show at The Grove Will Involve Wine Tasting, Meet-and-Greets
There will be a yoga class, too.
Rebecca Minkoff's straight-to-consumer runway show is taking over The Grove on Saturday — and you can bet the New York-based designer is shaking things up.
"This season we wanted to take the experience to one of our biggest markets: Los Angeles. Besides allowing her to see the runway show and see the collection, we will give her one of the biggest luxuries that we see our millennial consumer craving: the luxury of experience," CEO Uri Minkoff said in December.
Indeed, the day will offer a number of activities starting at 10 a.m., including a yoga class led by Jeanette Ogden with Zella Athleisure, and a fireside chat between Minkoff and WhoWhatWear's Hillary Kerr about female empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Attendees can get a mani at an essie booth, which will include a nail bar and photo booth. Over at Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar and Grill, there will be a wine tasting courtesy of Chandon winemaker Pauline Lhote. (Guests must RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org in order to attend the wine tasting.)
Lauren Conrad will be on the scene with her pop-up shop for The Little Market at the park, while Keke Palmer will be at Barnes & Noble for her book signing of I Don’t Belong to You: Quiet the Noise and Find Your Voice.
After the show, guests will be able to immediately shop the designer's spring 2017 collection at the Rebecca Minkoff pop-up show at 5 p.m. Minkoff will then make a personal appearance at Nordstrom, where fans will be able to meet her.
As previously reported, the outdoor presentation will take place outside at 4:30 p.m., with a mix of models and influencers walking along The Grove's trolley tracks.
Should anyone wonder why The Grove is especially packed this Saturday, consider yourself warned.
