Red Arrow Takes Control Of U.K. TV Producer Endor

COLOGNE, Germany – Red Arrow, the production division of European broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1, has taken a majority stake in Hilary Bevan Jones’ U.K. production shingle Endor, producers of the BAFTA-award winning miniseries State of Play (2003). Red Arrow declined to say how much it paid for the Endor stake.

Red Arrow Buys Fuse, Maker of 'The Killing,' 'Burn Notice'

State of Play, starring John Simm, James McAvoy, Bill Nighy and Kelly Macdonald, was remade into a feature film in 2009 with Russell Crowe  and Ben Affleck.

Bevan Jones' other credits include Emmy-winning TV movie The Girl in the Cafe for HBO, which David Yates and also starred Macdonald and Nighy, and feature film The Boat That Rocked written and directed by Richard Curtis. 

"We jumped at the chance to partner with a producer of Hilary's stature, reputation and sheer
likability," said Jan Frouman, Group Managing Director of Red Arrow. "She is a tier-one producer in a must-have market.  Getting this done was a no-brainer."

The move is the latest in Red Arrow’s shopping spree. The group recently picked up Brit format specialist CPL Productions. Red Arrow’s other assets include a majority stake in Fuse, the U.S. production house behind series Burn Notice and The Killing.

In total, Red Arrow controls some 16 TV production firms in 9 countries.
