The industry's go-to for red-carpet designer dress credits will go dark next week.

Industry insiders and fashion fans alike all hung their heads in collective sadness Thursday after Catherine Kallon, founder and editor of the beloved Red-Carpet Fashion Awards website (which is best known for providing the public with the proper designer credits as well as no-holds-barred reviews), announced that she was closing up operations for good.

In a farewell address to her millions of readers, Kallon stated that since starting the site in 2007, RCFA had grown beyond her imagination — and also beyond her bandwidth as an entrepreneur operating on her own. "When people assumed that this site was run by a team of people, I saw it as a compliment, but after time I realised that it was perhaps an indication that I was doing way too much," she writes.

Kallon concluded that the site will go dark Jan. 14, and thanked her loyal readers for their support and encouragement over the years. RIP, RCFA. You will be missed.
