Reese Witherspoon Says She's "Ready" for 'Legally Blonde 3'
"I think we're ready to see Elle and see what she's up to lately," said Witherspoon on 'Fashionably Late With Rachel Zoe.'
Reese Witherspoon is ready for Legally Blonde 3. The actress shared her thoughts on a possible third film while answering a fan's question on Fashionably Late with Rachel Zoe.
"I think it would be cool," said Witherspoon. "I think we're ready to see Elle and see what she's up to lately."
"A lot of writers over the years have come up with different ideas for it,” said Witherspoon. “I actually think it’s kind of great right now because we’re talking about women in politics and how important that is to get more women. And I think it’d be kind of a cool thing to have her be a Supreme Court Justice or somebody who runs for office, president.”
Legally Blonde 2 (2003) followed Elle Woods (Witherspoon) as she took on Congress to pass a bill banning animal testing. The franchise inspired the Tony-nominated Legally Blonde: The Musical which debuted on Broadway in 2007.
Although Witherspoon seemed in favor of a possible third film, the actress exclaimed she doesn't know if the film will officially happen.
"I don't know. Call MGM. I have no idea."
