Relativity Promotes Tucker Tooley, Robbie Brenner
Tooley has been named co-president and Brenner has been upped to production president.
As it prepares to release Immortals, its most ambitious movie to date, Relativity Media has promoted two of its top execs, Tucker Tooley and Robbie Brenner.
Tooley, who had been in the president of production post, has been named co-president of Relativity. Brenner has been upped to production president from her previous post of executive vp, production.
Tooley will now work alongside Relativity president and CFO Steve Bertram while also continuing to oversee the company's film slate. Tooley will report directly to Ryan Kavanaugh, Relativity¹s CEO while Brenner will continue to report to Tooley.
Tooley, an independent producer who joined Relativity in 2007, working with Kavanaugh on growing the film division and helping transform the company from a financing entity that partnered with studios on movies to one that produced or acquired its own slate. He oversaw Immortals and worked on the upcoming untitled Snow White project, 21 and Over and Steven Soderbergh's new action movie Haywire.
Brenner, meanwhile, worked with Tooley on The Fighter, Dear John and was integral in helping to acquire Catfish. (She is a nine-year Miramax vet that also worked at Twentieth Century Fox and Davis Entertainment.)
"Tucker has been the backbone of Relativity since he joined us, and will be vital to our growth moving forward. As Tucker¹s role evolves, there is no better person to guide our production team than Robbie Brenner," said Kavanaugh in a statement.
